Really cool place. Food was decent. Waitress was very nice. Very clean.
Friendly staff, convenient outdoor seating for people with dogs, good food and prices. Interesting decor.
The Totem is a casual restaurant. I enjoyed a chicken Cesar salad, with a savinoign blac, a Chardonnay and a slice of apple pie for dessert. All tasty. My server was friendly and responsive. All in all an enjoyable dinner in hot, small, and international Lone Pine, California.
We obviously googled an old menu. We hoped to get Philly cheese steak sandwiches and grilled chicken, but instead the menu now offers much less and more like fried chicken or hamburgers. The pasta primavera wasn't too bad though the veggies seemed more quickly cooked than sauteed. Nachos weren't too big or too fancy, but again, good. Waitress was nice. Outdoor seating is a bit noisy with the 395 hwy one way and a busy business alleyway behind and the Whitney Road next to you. Once covid-19 is over, you can sit inside again.
The food was delicious!! The servers were friendly and it was clean and social distance was observed.
We have been traveling for a week now around California and this has been the best dinner so far. Nachos were delicious and their bbq ribs were amazing! The service was very polite and smiley. Totally recommend!
I love the totem cafe. They have very tasty burgers that you put together (the plate come with the burger with the fixings on the side) beer battered fries, and the walls are covered in engraved signatures from old movie folks, like Humphrey Bogart and Maureen O'Hara. That staff is also very friendly and attentive.
The food was really good, especially the Totem Bird sandwich, which had bacon and that was really good. I asked for crispy fries, and they were very very crispy. Only issue with the fries was the flavor was rather bland.Service was really good. Very attentive, though at the time we were the only ones there...so...
My husband and I just got a couple burgers from the Totem Cafe - a jalapeno and mushroom. They were wonderful. Really hit the spot. Great fries & onion rings too!
I liked Totem cafe. Service is very good, at least few options vegetarian, I got pasta primevera which was okay. It did have lots of vegetables as expected so that was good. It could have been better with some sauce. Nice place. Recommend.
Great experience. Comfortable and calm environment when the rest of the town was a mad house. I ate there after a backpacking trip and both the food and service were awesome (granted, I was very hungry and maybe bias). The salad wasn't spectacular, but the french fries were! Parking in the back was easy to find as well.
So we’d been recommended this restaurant by the good folks at the Best Western Plus Frontier Motel along the road, and it suited our needs perfectly. We were tired, hungry and lacking in energy after a long day on the road. The staff were super friendly, the portions huge and the food delicious! We left rejuvenated on our way home to bed! Try the ribs, they’re fabulous!
Sat immediately and beverage order taken, but we waited. And waited for further service. The restrooms are clean and easily accessible. Parking was available in several locations. Located on the corner of an Intersection it’s easily accessible. The server had great successions and valuable input to menu options. French toast and home fries: tasty and safe go to option. 3 full slices cut crosswise. Crispy outside. Not soggy.Corn beef hash: a little salty-recommend the order be prepared extra crispy. California Omelet with hashbrowns: better than expected. The bacon inside was a little inconsistently cooked and cut having some bites with crispy bites that added flavor and others where the bacon was chewy and and all you could taste. Very slow service. One waitress.
